KS2 ICE Narnia Trip

KS2 ICE Narnia Trip

On Friday 15th November, Oak Class participated in the Narnia Experience which was hosted by the ICE team. Upon arrival they were greeted by the station master who gave them their evacuee label and put them aboard the train which took them out to the country. There they visited C.S Lewis who told them all about his inspiration for the story 'The Lion , The Witch and the Wardrobe'. The children learnt that the best stories use the writer's imagination and that you really can make up a story about anything you like if you keep wondering and asking yourself questions. The children then went through  the wardrobe to enter Narnia. Here they learnt some valuable lessons from the characters in the book before returning to the station master who explained the links between the story and the Bible which is where C.S Lewis got his inspiration.
Oak class have returned to class inspired and ready to create their own 100 word stories.
